Becky Endicott, CFRE, APR

CO-Founder, chief storyteller, we are for good
co-host, we are for good podcast

Meet Becky. She's our resident storyteller, kindness champion, philanthropy celebrator, justice seeker, humanity endorser, envelope pusher, people lover and just a general awkwardness embracer. She believes so firmly in authenticity to drive a narrative, she often shares the most self-deprecating things about herself in the process, because she understands connection isn't simply derived from the joy-filled moments - they're found in the messiest ones too.

Becky got her start at the happiest place in Oklahoma City: Science Museum Oklahoma (hey, when you're 1,300 miles from Disneyworld, it's a pretty happy alternative!) as a public relations coordinator. She returned to her alma mater to build the Oklahoma State University Foundation's inaugural marketing department whilst having some serious Imposter Syndrome that first year. While at OSU, she was able to set down the first roots of philanthropic storytelling via print and digital deliverables leading to the launch of the $1 billion initiative, Branding Success, which is Oklahoma's largest philanthropic campaign effort to date. Her wanderlust for building something new led her back home to Oklahoma City for a nearly decade-long service to INTEGRIS Foundation where she led teams in annual giving, events, stewardship, major gifts, prospect research and campaigns.

Becky values the power of words and the personal connections among each of us. She believes both are critical to stitching together the fabric of every powerful experience leading to giving. When combining the right tenor, pacing, and word choice by a courageous storyteller, she believes a story can unfold to move the hearts and minds of a large population who want to do good. This is transformational philanthropy at its finest, and it’s her passion to set it in motion.

FUN FACTS

  • Becky considers herself a collector of people. Her life goal is to sit at the feet of a stranger and hear their story.

  • She married her college sweetheart whom she met in geology class (he was riveted, she was bored. Ah amore’). They have two of the most precocious, hilarious daughters who are the light of their lives. In fact, one of those little ladies has a pretty cool connection to philanthropy. Someday she'll share that story...

  • Becky is an avid runner and has a loyal running group of the most competitive SLOW runners you've ever met in your life.

  • If Jon is the yin, then Becky is definitely the yang. As the queen of "going there," she revels in asking tough questions, going deeper to understand people and missions, and is typically the first one to cry at moving stories of hope.

  • Colorado and the mountains are her happy places.

  • When Becky was seven years old, she declared she wanted to be a horror novelist. Now she's a storyteller of life-altering, life-saving moments that she hopes will promote goodness and humanity. The latter was a wildly better alternative. Sorry Stephen King.

  • Proud Italian who works alongside her family for eight hours to make 1,000 homemade raviolis. I'd share with Jon, but his vegetarian-loving self couldn't handle the five meat products included. It’s a shame, really.

  • She has a seriously eclectic love of music - from Broadway to jazz and classical to 60s rock, she's an equal opportunity listener and exhibits spontaneous burst of song frequently. PS: she typically gets 15% of lyrics wrong. Every. Time.

  • Becky can have a salty tongue, and this gives Jon a lot of angst. That angst, in turn,  gives Becky a lot of glee. You'll see this bubble up in our conversations often [insert foreboding laugh].

  • Becky's love languages: books, coffee, rescue animals, integrity, chips and queso, memes, Game of Thrones, a 62 degree Oklahoma sunrise run, cheese fries (you see the cheese trend here, right?), movie quotes, people who have grit, a powerful moment witnessed in philanthropy, a humanizing story of connection or hope.
